THE CLEARING
When it arrives, you'll sit down. Feel the paper. Exhale. That's the point.
I have been writing letters for a long time.
Not because I had answers. Because I noticed that the questions women carry in midlife, the ones about who they are becoming, what they are ready to release, what they have never quite let themselves want, rarely get asked out loud.
So I began to write them down. One letter a month. Sealed. Posted. Addressed to the woman who knows something is shifting but hasn't yet found the words for it.

Letters from Iris
Once a month, without fail, Iris writes. On weighted cream paper, in a midnight blue envelope, sealed with red wax, and posted to your door. There is no digital version. This is the letter.
This is the ritual.
For the women who want to walk through the clearing with someone beside them.
Sometimes a letter is enough. Sometimes what you need is a conversation — unhurried, honest, held by someone who has sat with many women in this particular in-between.
Maxine works with a small number of women directly each year. If you feel the pull, trust it.
